Absent minded?
hello dears, I am back blogging again after sort of forgetting I had started one....I am quite absent minded like that? So, for an update, Mr B and I are doing rather splendidly in our new roles as wifey and hubby. Its peachy being young marrieds, life is top notch! I am hoping to pur-chase a camera very soon so i can document life on here but, for now you will have to just make do with photos from our wedding and other inspiration! Enjoy!

SPOTLIGHT ON: Venue
Oh the pains of finding the perfect venue for your wedding! It took me months of searching to find the train station! And considering we only gave ourselves four months to plan the whole shebang, it got pretty tight...and stressful!
Initially Mark and i wanted to get married in Devon where some of his family live however, it is a long way for everyone to go from Essex so in the end we decided to keep it local. Very Eco friendly you might say!
So then came the task of finding somewhere unique, charismatic and not too pricey in Essex, quite a task!?
We almost went for a cool little place called The Gibberd Garden
I thought it was magical! It's a really unique and quirky garden with lots of little secret nooks and bizzare statues! However in the end there were a few things 'not quite perfect' about the place. Mostly, we were worried about the weather and I really didn't want a marquee wedding. Unless it was going to be an ultra cool tipi marquee, which are also ultra expensive and were a little out of the price range!
Cressing Temple in Braintree have a stunning walled garden
this would have been perfect for a beautiful secret garden wedding but, they don't have a music licence, which turned us off right away!So...........................................................
....after looking at many other 'not quite perfect' places I'd almost lost all hope when, tadaa! I stumbled across The Railway museum on the Internet. It looked very promising so, Mark and I took a little trip ,with fingers and toes crossed, to see it. And thank goodness, we LOVED it! Suffice to say we said YES PLEASE right away and were all booked in for the big day! Hurrah!
There were so many things we loved about it; the little trip you take over the platform to get to the shed, the REAL vintage train they put inside for people to sit in, the overall rustic, vintage look of the place and most importantly the fact we had freedom to be creative and style it as we wished, what a dream! Oh! Plus Blur played their first gig there which won brownie points for Mark :)
